From April 20 2007 onwards on Friday evenings, in addition to its current Dining Theatre program, Patravadi Theatre will join with Thai Film Foundation to present free film screenings “Studio 9 Moving Arts” series to present diverse aspects of cinematic arts ranging from short films, animation, documentary, experimental and classic films.

This programme presents two amazing films from Chulayanon Siriphon, The Golden Sand House (1st Runner-Up Best Student Film,2006, 21mins) and Sleeping Beauty (Best Documentary, 2006, 40mins). Both films are shot in his house with his family as the cast. You will be surprised how the same elements can be made into completely different stories.

This program celebrates a cross-section of recent film and video work produced within the Boulder community in Colorado, U.S, which was fuelled by the vision of the avant-garde cinema giant Stan Brakhage. In this collection, Brakhage’s important works are showacased together with other innovative filmmakers such as Phil Solomon and Stacey Steers. Amidst the disparate styles of these media artists, ROCKY MOUNTAIN TWILIGHT reveals an intense faith in first-person cinema as a medium for metaphoric and poetic expression.
